Gate Features: Welded steel construction attached to a wooden riser and mounted on a trailer Vertical Drop – Approximately 3 ½ feet Surface – Platform, Gate, and ramp are covered with M-Snow Gate operation – Cable Operated latch release, gravity drop Performance measure and feedback via timers - Timer 1 starts when gate drops and stops when riders front leg breaks the beam (approx. 6” in front of gate) - Timer 2 starts when gate drops and stops when riders front leg breaks a beam approximately 10’ away from the gate
Benefits: Riders are able to get many practice gate pulls in a short period of time Immediate feedback of reaction time and relative pull strength M-Snow ramp provides tactile feedback about the rider’s board position leaving the gate
Can easily get between 60 and 120 gate drops in an hour depending on how quickly the riders can cycle through (unstrap, walk back, climb platform, and strap in)
Requirements: Flat level surface to set up on, preferably on grass Riders use their own boots and boards Helmets are required Gloves are recommended Riders (or their parents) are required to sign a liability release Must provide at least 1 person to help set up and tear down
